For stroke and traumatic brain injury patients, time to treatment is critical. Unfortunately, triage and monitoring patients in the field and in the emergency department is still a very subjective process resulting in long term disability and even death. Sense has developed technology using low power radio frequency that detects stroke and traumatic brain injury in minutes.
Patients in the field will be transported directly to the nearest hospital that can treat their specific condition, saving hours to treatment. In the ER patients with acute conditions would be identified and sent immediately for life saving treatment rather than being sent to an overcrowded waiting room. Sense has also worked with the US Department of Defense to develop a military version that will be used on the front line as Traumatic Brain Injury is the signature wound in the military today.
